Season of Operation:

Two Eighty Nine Cottage closes only for the coldest portions of the winter. A "close" means my shutting down the water and "blowing out" the pipes in order to prevent damage due to ice expansion when mired in unseasonably cold conditions. This occurs perhaps for a number of days a few times during the Winter. It also happens when I skidaddle down to Miami Beach for about four weeks around the end of the first week in January. That said, the upcoming 2010 season is set to officially run from the weekend of May 15/16 thru the weekend of September 25/26. During this official period, all four Quarter Patron sequences receive five weeks, and both Half Patron sequences receive ten. Any Third Patron sequences will receive seven. The Meal Plan is also in effect during this time. Please note that the months of October, November, and possibly into December are considered to be the off-season. During this off-season period, the Meal Plan will not be in effect. However, house members are no longer restricted to a continuation of the scheduling cycle which characterizes the official season. This off-season will be available by request. Usually, such requests are granted, however off seasonal projects may render the house unusable. A cooperative and gracious manner during the official season tends to best insure this liberal policy of bestowing an extended 2010 to all interested house members. A small suggested philanthropic contribution of $20/night will apply during this period for utilities, staples, and basic edibles.

Room 1: $1000 (+$180) / $1900 (+$360)
Room 2: $1200 (+$180) / $2300 (+$360)
Room 3: $1400 (+$180) / $2600 (+$360)
Room 4: $1000 (+$180) / $1900 (+$360)
Room 5: $1200 (+$180) / $2300 (+$360)

Private Room (1 or 4): $1800 (+180) / $3500 (+$360)

In the case of a private room, Patrons need not pay a guest fee if they choose to bring out a guest for the empty bed. The Meal Plan charge however will apply.
